You can attach a behavior to any link in a document. Consider using the following behaviors when inserting linked elements into your documents.
Set Text of Status Bar Shows a message in the status bar at the bottom left of the browser window. For example, you can use this action to describe the destination of a link in the status bar instead of showing the URL associated with it. To see an example of a status message, move your pointer over any of the navigation buttons in the Dreamweaver Help Pages. See Set Text of Status Bar.
Open Browser Window Is used to open a URL in a new window. You can specify the properties of the new window, including its size, attributes (whether it is resizable, has a menu bar, and so on), and name. See Open Browser Window.
Set Nav Bar Image behavior Lets you change how a navigation bar behaves. Use this behavior to customize how the images in a navigation bar display. For example, when the pointer is over a button, the display of other images in the navigation bar or in the document change. See Set Nav Bar Image.
Jump Menu Behavior Is used to edit a jump menu. You can make changes to the menu list or the file linked to, or you can change the browser location of where a linked document opens. See Jump Menu.
